Ask Manhattan for work

Manhattan is an RSU researcher at the Itagura NPP entrance. Her normal interactions let you review collected documents and badges. For the collection quest, ask about work once you are Sergeant or higher.

The current NPC documentation says she describes an unusually radioactive object, gives you a Geiger counter and sends you into the plant. Check that you have received the task and its tool before leaving the entrance.

The Geiger counter is your search tool for the radiation task. The checked sources establish the target sectors, but do not establish a reliable coordinate or guaranteed shelf for each item. Use the active request and the current room layout to finish the search.

Collect the three requested items

1. 01

   Sector 2: the first crystal

   Progress through the facility objectives until Sector 2 is accessible. Search for the crystal specified by the first request, using the counter and the task text. Return to Manhattan to check completion and obtain the next request.

2. 02

   Sector 3: the blueprint

   The second task moves deeper into the plant and asks for a blueprint. Complete the Sector 2 access objectives before heading through the Sector 3 blast gate. Finding an unrelated readable document is not necessarily the same as collecting the quest blueprint.

3. 03

   Basement: the second crystal

   The final target is a crystal in the Basement. This returns you toward Reactor 4 rather than sending you farther into Sector 3. Confirm that Manhattan has assigned the third task before searching.

   Reactor 4 was reworked in September. Use the current objective text and the September 18 route video for orientation; the older facility map does not reliably show the new Basement paths.

Plan for three different areas

The collection order is Sector 2 → Sector 3 → Basement. It is not a straight line through the map. Before leaving each area, verify that the item registered and that you know which researcher request is active.

Keep a route back to the entrance in mind instead of using a character reset as a shortcut. The checked NPC source does not establish how death, disconnecting or changing servers affects collected quest items. Stay in the same session where practical and recheck the dialogue if your task appears to have changed.

Need to review an earlier document?

Manhattan's document menu lets you read the documents already collected around the plant. Her badge codex also shows earned and missing achievements. Those are useful reference functions, but opening the codex does not start or finish a collection task.

Claim Scout of Cherenkov

Complete the third request and return to Manhattan for the final interaction. The official SCOUT-OF-CHERENKOV badge names a permanent cosmetic and a rank advancement as rewards. Check your badge ownership after the hand-in.
